  • Our first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We’ll talk about the challenges you’re experiencing, your goals for therapy, and any important background that may help me understand the bigger picture of your life.

You don’t need to prepare anything or have everything figured out. You can simply come as you are and share at your own pace.

We’ll also discuss how therapy works, what the process may look like moving forward, and how approaches like EMDR can support deeper healing when appropriate.

  • Weekly or bi-weekly; it depends on your situation. Once clients get to know me and understand how I can help, they often request to come in weekly because they feel comfortable and understand their potential for growth in therapy. When we first meet, we will sit together and discuss the best strategy for you.

  • At Oceanside Counseling, my goal is to create a space where you feel truly seen, safe, and supported. Many of my clients share that they feel comfortable opening up with me, even if they’ve tried therapy before and felt discouraged. I combine evidence-based methods like EMDR and trauma-focused therapy with a compassionate, down-to-earth approach that honors your individual needs.

What makes my practice unique is the balance of professional expertise and genuine human connection. I take time to understand your story, your struggles, and your strengths, so together we can create a path forward that feels both empowering and sustainable.
